Slovenian battery producer TAB buys Macedonian peer Vesna SAP.

By bne IntelliNews September 6, 2012
Slovenian battery manufacturer TAB has taken over an 85% stake of Macedonian peer Vesna SAP, STA news agency reported. TAB intends to relocate part of its production to Macedonia so that it can manufacture high value added products in Slovenia. TAB CEO and co-owner Bogomir Auprih said that one of the reasons for expanding to Macedonia is the increasingly unfriendly business environment in Slovenia. The Slovenian company reported revenues of EUR 136mn last year, selling 1.9mn car batteries and 920,000 industrial batteries.
