Singapore is likely to maintain strong links with the world's important powers, like the Unites States (US) and China. As reported by Channelnewsasia.com, the Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam stated that the country's engagement with the US has been in operation since more than thirty years, and is expected to continue in the near future. The country intends to maintain relations with China and the US, with close assistance and common interests in a range of issues.
