Nike is preparing to open a flagship sportswear store in Tashkent City Mall, according to an April 10 announcement by the shopping venue.

The Nike Uzbekistan account on Instagram confirmed the opening in the mall, still under construction, is ahead.

Nike's official partner in Uzbekistan is Union Space. The partner has since 1996 been managing Nike-branded stores in Tashkent.

Other international brands set to open in Tashkent City Mall include Russian clothing brand 12 STORIES and five-decade-old US fast food chain Wendy's. 12 STORIES currently has stores abroad in Kazakhstan and Italy.

US food outlets Cinnabon and Subway and Turkish confectionery chain Hamdizade will also open in the shopping centre.
