Italian capital expected to flow into Montenegro's major investment projects.

Italian investors have shown interest in doing business in Montenegro, the ministry of finance announced on its website after a meeting with Italian Ambassador Sergio Barbanti. Investors are interested in the projects linked to the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure, the country's main sea port, Port of Bar (Luka Bar), as well as possible participation in the construction of the Bar-Boljare motorway. Italian financial institutions, such as UniCredit Bank, that are already present in the region are also expected to open operations in the country, should the presence of Italian investors increase, the ministry noted.
