Iran launched more than 20 missiles towards central and southern Israel on June 19, scoring a direct hit on Soroka Hospital in Beersheba after hours of relative calm, Mako reported.

The Iranian hit comes a few hours after Israeli drones and jets struck targets in central Tehran including the headquarters of the Iranian Red Crescent society, close to the Khatam al-Anbia hospital owned by the government.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran's "terror tyrants" had fired missiles at the hospital and civilian populations. "We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran," Netanyahu stated.

The Israeli Air Force conducted overnight strikes across Iran using 40 fighter jets that attacked dozens of military targets with more than 100 munitions, according to military sources.

Iranian targets included Tehran, Qom, Natanz, Isfahan, Arak, Kermanshah, Tabriz, Shiraz, Bushehr and Ahvaz, with strikes spanning the country's major population centres.

Tel Aviv's Ichilov Medical Centre received 18 casualties from the missile barrage, with most in light condition and three patients in moderate condition.

A direct hit struck an empty school in Holon, whilst another missile hit the home of a former government minister in central Israel. Extensive damage was reported across buildings in Ramat Gan.

Three people suffered serious injuries and one moderate injury in Holon. Hospital officials said trapped people remained in a central Israel building following the strikes.

A doctor at the hospital said the facility had evacuated its old surgical building just one day before it suffered a direct hit. "This is a great miracle," the physician stated.

Magen David Adom emergency services reported that approximately 25 to 30 people sustained light injuries from the missile barrage.

Israel's Home Front Command lifted protective restrictions, allowing civilians to leave sheltered areas after the all-clear was issued.

US reports indicated President Donald Trump had approved an attack plan against Iran but ordered forces to wait before implementing the operation. Two seriously wounded individuals were extracted from an impact site in the Greater Tel Aviv area as rescue operations continued.
