Exxon Mobil eyes exploring shale gas in Turkey.

CEO of state energy company TPAO, Mehmet Uysal, told Reuters that the company is in talks with the US-based Exxon Mobile on exploring for shale gas in Turkey. Turkey has a 15tn cubic feet of technically recoverable shale gas reserves according to the analysis released by the US government last year, Reuters reported. Please note that TPAO and Shell signed a deal in November for oil and natural gas exploration in the Mediterranean Sea and Turkeys Eastern and South-eastern provinces.
