Expenditures on servicing Ukraines public debt amount to USD 1.9bn ytd.

Expenditures on the servicing of Ukraine's public debt amounted to UAH 15.25bn (USD 1.9bn) ytd, the State Treasury of Ukraine has announced. Out of this amount, UAH 10.5bn was spend of servicing domestic public debt and UAH 4.72bn on servicing foreign public debt. The state budget envisages UAH 21bn to service public debt in Jan-Sep 2012. In July, Ukraines direct foreign debt rose by 8.93% m/m to USD 24.8bn, the FinMin has announced. The direct domestic debt increased by 0.37% to USD 24.1bn in July. The total size of the country's direct debt increased by 4.63% from UAH 373.4bn to UAH 390.7bn in July. Government-guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 106.24bn as of July. Government and government-guaranteed debt totaled UAH 496.96bn as of July 31. According to the FinMin, government and government-guaranteed debt increased by UAH 17.201bn in July, primarily through the issuance of Eurobonds for USD 2bn during this period.
