The IDF destroyed multiple command headquarters in Tehran, including the General Staff Headquarters for Internal Security, following an Iranian missile strike that killed nine Israelis in Beit Shemesh.
Israel and Iran have exchanged massive rounds of missile fire, with the IDF confirming that approximately 100 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel from Iran. Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that it had eliminated 40 Iranian commanders in airstrikes, including Abdolrahim Mousavi, who served as Chief of Staff of Iran's armed forces.
"A short while ago, the Israel Air Force, guided by IDF intelligence, completed an additional wave of strikes targeting dozens of command centres and headquarters belonging to the Iranian terror regime," the IDF stated in a press release.
"As part of the strikes, the headquarters of the General Staff for Internal Security was struck. It served as a command-and-control hub responsible for linking the senior command echelon with the Iranian regime's security forces on the ground and for directing the brutal repression of the Iranian people," the statement continued.
The IDF confirmed it also dismantled the Tharallah Headquarters, which functioned as a defence command centre in Tehran against military threats.

These strikes followed the Iranian missile attack on Beit Shemesh, where Israeli state broadcaster Kan News confirmed nine fatalities. Rescue forces are continuing the search for additional trapped individuals, with dozens injured and 20 people reported missing by the Beit Shemesh mayor.
"When we arrived, we noticed significant destruction at the scene and the residents who had been rescued from the building," Magen David Adom emergency medical technician Yosef Laufer explained in a public address.
