Swiss Reichle & De Massari, a supplier of cabling solutions for communication networks, plans to invest BGN 9.7mn (EUR 5mn) in building a fibre optic plant in Sofia, Capital.bg reported. The plant is expected to start operating in October, employing some 100 people. The Swiss company selected Bulgaria for its new plant due to the countrys favourable geographical position and good logistics, as well as due to the high quality of the labour force and the lower personnel costs. Reichle & De Massari entered the Bulgarian market in 2008 when it bought FreeNet, a local distributor of copper and optical cables. Then the Swiss company set up its local unit R&W Bulgaria, which also manages the companys operations in Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania and Slovenia. |
