Price of natural gas from local sources to drop 20% in 2013-Bulgaria's FinMin.

By bne IntelliNews December 12, 2012
Bulgarian energy minister forecasts decrease in the price of natural gas from local sources in 2013 as cheaper Russian gas imports push down the overall gas price level in the country, investor.bg reported. Earlier this year the government negotiated a 20% discount on Russian gas imports. Currently, Bulgaria secures some 15% (490.1 million cubic metres) of total natural gas consumption (3 billion cubic metres per year) from local sources and local supply is seen growing to 574.7 million cubic metres (or 20%) in 2013 and 655.8 million cubic metres (or 22%) in 2014. Local natural gas is some 35% cheaper compared to imported.
