Poland's car production down 11.6% y/y in Sept 2011.

Production of cars in Poland fell by 11.6% on the year to 70,521 units in September 2011, Poland.pl portal reported citing data from market researcher Samar. Compared to a month earlier, however, the number of assembled vehicles rose by 63.24%. In January to September 2011, a total of 640,561 cars were made in the country, registering an annual fall of 6.7%. Sales of new passenger cars fell by 9% y/y to 21,191 units in September, according to earlier released data. Opel, the European unit of General Motors, and Italian Fiat run plants in Poland.
