German manufacturer of fabricated parts Burgmaier will build a EUR 3.4mn plant in Banska Bystrica, central Slovakia, webnoviny.sk reported. The plant, to be completed in 2012, will cover an area of more than 5,000 sq m. The project will create 148 jobs. The companys local unit, Burgmaier Precision Slovakia which is operating in Banska Bystrica in hired premises will move the production to the new plant where it will produce small metal barrel shaped parts for white electronic appliances, the auto industry and roller bearings. Besides Slovakia and Germany, Burgmaier has also production facilities in France. The company employs some 700 people. |
