Poland has been ranked 27th in the 2012 Globalisation Index (with 4.23pts), compiled by Ernst & Young and the Economist Intelligence Unit. The list is topped by Hong Kong (7.81pts), followed by Singapore (6.31pts) and Ireland (5.63pts). The best performer from CEE is Hungary (ranked 9th with 4.75pts). The index is designed to measure the 60 largest countries/territories by GDP according to their degree of globalization. Poland received the highest marks for trade (4.60pts) and labour (4.53pts), while the lowest - for technology (3.17pts). |
