Croatia sells EUR 205.8mn of T-bills, yields flat.

Croatia sold EUR 205.8mn worth of Treasury bills at an auction on February 26, the finance ministry said in a statement on its website. A total of HRK 1,489mn (EUR 196.3mn) of the sold securities were denominated in kuna, while the remaining EUR 9.5mn were denominated in euro. The planned amount of the kuna-denominated T-bills stood at HRK 600mn, while that of the euro-denominated T-bills was EUR 40mn. The ministry sold HRK 100mn worth of three-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 120mn. It also sold HRK 833mn worth of six-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 858mn and placed HRK 556mn of one-year T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 603mn. The yields on the three-month T-bills stood at 1%, on the six-month T-bills at 1.8% and on the one-year T-bills at 2.49%, all unchanged from the previous auctions. The ministry also sold a three-month issue of euro-denominated T-bills worth EUR 2.5mn, yielding 0.75% (unchanged from the previous auction), and a EUR 7mn issue of one-year euro-denominated T-bills issue, yielding 1.8% (unchanged from previous). Demand for the three-month euro T-bills totalled EUR 3.5mn and for the one-year ones was EUR 23mn.
