Croatia's June PPI up by 6.8% y/y.

Croatia's producer price index rose by 6.8% y/y in June after a 7.3% y/y increase in May, the statistics office reported. The deceleration of the PPI inflation in June was fuelled by a lower inflation in manufacturing (7.3%) and mining and quarrying (6.8%). The prices in electricity, gas steam and air conditioning supply rose by 1.3% y/y. According to the main industrial groups' breakdown, energy registered the highest increase of 13.5% y/y, followed by intermediate goods (7.8%), non-durable consumer goods (4.9%) and durable consumer goods (3.1%). Deflation was observed only in capital goods, whose prices fell by 2.2%. In monthly terms, the PPI dropped by 0.3% m/m in June after a 10.4% m/m hike in May.
