At least 217 people killed in earthquake in eastern Turkey.

According to latest official announcements, at least 217 people have been confirmed killed after an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude hit southeast Turkey, especially the city of Van on Sunday (October 23). Director of the Kandilli seismological institute in Istanbul says that they estimate around 1,000 buildings collapsed and death toll may increase to 500 to 1,000.
