Slovakia to get EUR 35Mn grant from Swiss Financial Mechanism.

Slovakia will receive a grant of over EUR 35mn that will back various business projects from the Swiss Financial Mechanism, SITA news agency reported. The National Monitoring Committee for the Swiss Financial Mechanism has approved submission of 14 applications for nonrefundable financial contribution of the Swiss Federation. "The total sum of various projects from Slovakia is more than EUR 35mn, representing 55% of the funds intended for the Program of Swiss-Slovak Cooperation, the Information Center of the Slovak Cabinet Office said. The business projects approved for a grant from the Swiss fund are mainly in the sectors of construction and completion of sewage systems and wastewater treatment plants, development of tourism and increasing the quality of services in the social sphere and community activities in the regions of eastern Slovakia. Within this mechanism, a total of some EUR 55mn are intended for Slovakia.
