Montenegro's trade chain Albona mulls buying bankrupt Nikpek bakery.

The Montenegrin retail trade chain Albona mulls buying Nikpek bakery, Vijesti daily reported citing Albona's owner Radenko Lucic. The acquisition is expected to result in a decrease in the price of bread in Albonda's stores. The bankrupt Niksic-based bakery is offered for sale and bids will be accepted by November 8. The property of the company is estimated at around EUR 1.56mn. Albona made investments for EUR 2mn in 2010 and opened 14 supermarkets. The chain planned to invest EUR 1mn in the expansion of its retail network in the coastal and central region of Montenegro in 2011.
