Kazakhstan not to subsidize grain exporters this year

Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev approved a blueprint for development of local self-government in the country. The decree will introduce elections of akims (governors) of villages and towns of district significance by the end of next year. Significantly, the authorities are paying greater attention to the regional development recently in order to ease social tensions. The president recently issued a bunch of instructions to the governors of the regions. Introduction of the local election will improve communications between the local authorities and the society.
