Oil company Jugopetrol will decrease the retail prices of eco diesel and Eurodiesel to EUR 1.37 per litre and EUR 1.04 per litre, respectively as of Tuesday (May 10, 2011), national TV broadcaster RTCG announced. The price of Eurosuper 98 will remain unchanged at EUR 1.4 per litre. We note that retail fuel prices in the country are adjusted every two weeks in line with changes of crude oil prices on international markets and exchange rate dynamics of the USD against the EUR. In April the government decided to decrease the excise tax on diesel for selected businesses in an effort to lower the inflationary pressure caused by the globally surging crude oil prices. The industries that will benefit from the change are the processing industry, construction sector, baking industry and cargo carriers. |
