Foreign tourist visits in Bulgaria rise by 5.4% y/y in November 2012.

Growth in foreign tourist arrivals accelerated to 5.4% y/y in November from 3% y/y in October, statistics office data showed. In monthly terms, foreign tourist visits dropped 23%, in line with the seasonal pattern. Tourists from the EU visiting Bulgaria, which constituted 54% of all foreign tourists during the month, rose by 3% y/y. The number of tourists from other European countries rose by 9.2% y/y in November. Russia and Serbia were with the highest contribution to the positive result.
