Export-Import Bank of China to finance infrastructure projects in Montenegro.

Export-Import Bank of China may increase its presence in Montenegro, after the government approved on Aug 31 a draft memorandum of understanding with the bank for investment in infrastructure projects, the press office of the government informed. The Chinese bank may provide a loan to Montenegro at preferential terms for the construction of Bar-Boljare motorway, bypass road in Herceg Novi and for the development of thermal and hydro power projects in Montenegro. The terms and the amount of the loan are yet to be negotiated. Other exposures of Export-Import Bank in the country include the financing of the purchase of ships for the Montenegrin fleet.
