Croatia's transport ministry extended again to May 9 the deadline of the prequalification phase of a procedure for the selection of a concessionaire for the Zagreb Airport, the authority said in a note on its website. The deadline has already been extended once to May 2 from April 4. The ministry explained the extension with the interest of investors, who need more time to prepare. The tender, which was announced on February 18, envisages the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Zagreb Airport and operation of the both the existing and the new terminal, as well as the airport infrastructure. The filed bids will be assessed by May 12 and the final ones will be due by May 30. The tender winner, who will be announced in September, should begin work in Q2 2012. |
