Romanias electronics market to expand by 7-10% in 2011 retailer.

Major electronics retailer Flanco forecast a 7-10% y/y expansion of Romanias electronics and IT market to EUR 1-1.1bn, Bursa daily reported, quoting company executive. Flanco is projected to have a 10% market share in terms of sales. The detailed sales dynamics in 2011 also indicated a market recovery in terms of both quality and volume. The sales of LED and LCD TV sets, and of expensive built-in kitchen appliances have particularly increased since the beginning of the year, and sales of air conditioners are expected to rise, too. The sales of LCD and LED TV sets increased by 40% y/y in the ytd period. The share of expensive built-in kitchen appliances reached 50% from 20% last year. In the computers segment, the sales of more expensive notebooks were six times higher than those of desktops.
