Expert: Price of Russian gas for Ukraine to surpass USD 400 by year end.

The price of Russian gas for Ukraine will exceed USD 400 per 1,000 cubic meters by the end of this year, deputy head of the Department of Oil, Gas and Oil Refining Industry Kostiantyn Borodin has announced. This price takes into account a discount of USD 100 per cubic meter. According to him, current Ukrainian-Russian gas contracts of 2009 do not correspond to recent changes on the market. Moreover, they don't have changes introduced to similar agreements signed by Gazprom with companies in other European countries, he noted.
