Wireless operator Vodafone Romania will invest EUR 500mn in the period 2011-15, Bursa daily and Mediafax reported, quoting the companys newly appointed CEO, Inaki Berroeta. Berroeta quoted forecasts that data traffic will most likely increase significantly in the coming years and the companys network has to be prepared. The rise in data traffic will be driven by the higher sales of smartphones as they become more affordable, Berroeta stated. The company will focus on selling smartphones and consolidating the data traffic capacity. Vodafone Romania is the second largest domestic cellphone operator. |
