Several Iranian missiles have hit Israel after the Islamic Republic retaliated against joint US-Israel strikes on Tehran.
Sirens sounded across several regions in Israel after notice of the Iranian missiles was received, with citizens taking shelter as a result. Still, footage showed several missiles making impact.
A video shared from the IRGC showed an Iranian missile strike on a building in a residential area in Israel, although the exact location remains unconfirmed.
Another video showed a missile strike in the Galilee region in northern Israel.
“The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command; the public is requested to stay in protected spaces until official notice,” the IDF confirmed in a press release.
“The aerial defence array is currently identifying and intercepting threats.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation, claiming that the strikes aim to "create the conditions for the courageous Iranian people to take their destiny into their own hands."
