Ukraine is world's third largest grain exporter, says minister

Ukraine was the world's third largest grain export in the marketing year 2014-2015 after the United States and the European Union, Minister of Agriculture and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko wrote on Facebook.

According to infographics Pavlenko posted, the US took first place with 83.1mn tonnes of grain exports, the EU second place with 50mn tonnes, and Ukraine came in third place with 36mn tonnes.

The three leaders are expected to retain their positions in the 2015-2016 marketing year, the minister wrote.
