Slovakia to participate in EBRD capital increase.

By bne IntelliNews February 14, 2011
Sovakia plans to participate in the EUR 10mn capital increase of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), webnoviny.sk reported. The finance ministry has proposed the country to subscribe 3,842 callable shares at a nominal value of EUR 10,000, thus keeping its 0.43% share on the EBRDs voting rights. Slovakia will also subscribe 431 paid-in shares with a nominal value of EUR 10,000. The participation would not affect the budget deficit, since the financing will be provided by the state financial assets. The EBRDs board of governors approved the capital hike in May 2010. Sixty-one countries, including 29 beneficiary countries, are EBRD stockholders.
