Slovakia industry sales up by 17.7% y/y in July.

Slovakia's industry sales increased by 17.7% y/y in July, the statistics office (SUSR) reported. Although this is a slow down from the 24.8% y/y growth from June, only coke production registered a drop of 1% y/y. On the contrary, sales of important economic sectors such as production of transport equipment and machinery and equipment increased by 40.7% y/y and 39.8% y/y, respectively. The sales of the mining segment slowed down by 4.9% y/y while utilities and energy supplies were up by more than 6%.
