LT: Bank of Lithuania external assets down by 3.2% y/y in 2009.

Bank of Lithuania external assets declined by LTL 487mn (EUR 141mn), or by 3.2% y/y and amounted to LTL 15.8bn as of end-2009. Central governments deposits with the bank increased by LTL 1.4bn y/y, or 106% y/y. In December external assets of the bank declined by LTL 2.3bn m/m, while external assets dropped by LTL 267mn m/m, and amounted to LTL 414mn as of end-Dec. Money in circulation increased by LTL 180mn m/m in December and amounted to LTL 7.9bn as of end-Dec. Residents deposits with the bank declined by LTL 2.7bn m/m in December and amounted to LTL 5.2bn as of end-Dec. Central governments deposits declined by LTL 2.4bn m/m in December and amounted to LTL 2.6bn as of end-Dec.
