Hungarys mobile internet subscriptions up 3.4% m/m in March 2012.

The number of mobile internet subscriptions in Hungary increased by 3.4% m/m to 2.324mn in March 2012, the communications watchdog informed. The growth rate accelerated from 2.3% m/m in February. The number of subscriptions with data transfer grew by 2.7% m/m to 1.819mn. The volume of transferred data increased by 1.6% m/m to 1.964mn gigabytes in the month. In terms of market distribution, T-Mobile extended its lead on the market, although its share edged down by 0.52pps to 47%. Telenor came second, increasing its share by 0.84pps to 28.75% of all mobile internet subscriptions in the month. Third was Vodafone, whose share stood at 24.25%, down by 0.32pps m/m.
