Economy minister Mladjan Dinkic and representatives of German car seat maker Grammer Systems have inked an agreement on fresh investments in Grammer's plant in Aleksinac, southern Serbia, a note on the government's website reads. Grammer will invest EUR 1.07mn in the Aleksinac-based plant and boost workforce by 211. The government will grant EUR 0.8mn to the German company under its job creation incentive programme. Grammer decided to expand its capacity in Serbia due to higher demand from the European market. Grammers exports are expected to reach EUR 5mn in 2011, up by 25% y/y. Grammer opened the Aleksinac plant under a EUR 3.8mn investment back in 2007. Grammer specialises in the manufacturing of driver and passenger seats as well as components and systems for automobile interiors. |
