Georgia’s annual inflation stood at 4.8% in November 2025, down from 5.2% in October and up from 4.6% in August, according to data published by Georgia’s National Statistics Office (Geostat) on December 3.

Meanwhile, the consumer price index increased by 0.4% in November, easing from a 0.6% rise in the previous month.

Annual core inflation – excluding food, transport, regulated tariffs, and energy products – increased by 2.6% and, excluding tobacco, by 2.3%.
Monthly inflation rate
The overall monthly inflation rate of 0.4% was influenced by price changes for certain consumer commodities.
Costs for miscellaneous good and services rose 1.8%, contributing 0.09 percentage points to the overall monthly inflation in November.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 0.9%, contributing 0.34 percentage points. Prices for furnishings, household equipment and maintenance also rose increase 0.9%, contributing 0.05 percentage points.
Prices for restaurants and hotels fell 0.6%, contributing -0.02 percentage points to the overall monthly index. Transport cost decreased 0.4%, contributing -0.05 percentage points. Prices for clothing and footwear also decreased 0.4%, contributing -0.02 percentage points.
Annual inflation
Geostat reported that the annual inflation rate of 4.8% was influenced primarily by a 10.3% increase in the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which contributed 3.5 percentage points to the overall annual inflation in November.
Prices for health services increased by 8%, contributing 0.7 percentage points to the overall index.
Prices at restaurants and hotels rose 7.2%, contributing 0.2 percentage points, while the cost of miscellaneous good and services increased 5.3%, contributing 0.2 percentage points.
Communication services costs fell by 4%, contributing -0.1 percentage points; prices for furnishings, household equipment and maintenance fell 1%, contributing -0.1 percentage points, and recreation and culture prices dropped 2%, contributing -0.1 percentage points.
