The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in Poland was -0.2% m/m and 1.9% in annual terms in July vs. 2.4% y/y a month earlier, the EU statistical office Eurostat has said. In line with Eurostat's estimations, HICP inflation for the whole 27 EU amounted to 2.1% y/y in July (vs. 1.9% in June). In the euro-zone, the inflation was 1.7% y/y vs. 1.4% a month earlier. The lowest annual HICP figures were posted by: Ireland (-1.2%), Latvia (0.7%) and Slovakia (1.0%). The highest figures were noted by: Romania (7.1%), Greece (5.5%) and Hungary (3.6%). June's CPI inflation (as measured by the Central Statistical Office) fell by 0.2% m/m, while in annual terms, it amounted to 2.0%. In June, the annual inflation amounted to 2.3% y/y. ISB |
