British financial magazine Euromoney named Turkish-owned lender National Commercial Bank (BKT) as the best bank in Albania, NOA news agency reported. BKT was Albanias second-largest bank by assets at end-March 2012, preceded only by the local unit of Austrias Raiffeisen Bank, data from the Albanian Association of Banks showed. The bank posted a net profit of USD 8.7mn in Q1 2012, up 57.6% y/y. It operates a network of 83 branches, out of which 60 are situated in Albania and 23 in Kosovo. |
