Dubai's airports handled more than 1,140 flights across Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport over the 84 hours to March 5, as authorities worked to repatriate stranded travellers and gradually restore air services, 24 Abu Dhabi reported.
Between March 2 and 5, more than 500 departing flights offered over 105,000 seats to more than 80 destinations worldwide, with the pace of operations increasing daily.
Dubai Airports said it was continuing to add flights to the schedule and urged passengers to check their flight status directly with airlines before travelling to the airport.
The operation reflects the scale of disruption caused by the regional conflict, which has grounded flights, closed airspace across parts of the Middle East and left hundreds of thousands of travellers unable to return home.
The UAE has absorbed a significant share of Iranian retaliatory strikes since the conflict began on February 28, with drones and missiles hitting military and civilian targets.
France confirmed its Rafale jets had intercepted Iranian drones targeting the Emirates, while the UAE's foreign ministry said the country had been subjected to more than 1,000 attacks since the war began.
Russia's foreign ministry estimated that around 20,000 of its nationals remained in the UAE alone, while the US State Department issued a blanket advisory on March 2 urging Americans across 14 Middle Eastern countries to leave immediately.
