Council of EU endorses allocation of EUR 500mn credit to Ukraine.

The Council of the European Union has endorsed allocation of a credit of EUR 500mn to Ukraine. According to the statement, a meeting of the Council of the European Union on Jun 29 endorsed a decision to provide Ukraine with a macroeconomic assistance. As earlier reported, the European Parliament in May 2010 endorsed allocation of EUR 500mn in credit to Ukraine. Late in 2009, the European Commission proposed that the Council of the European Union provide Ukraine with a EUR 500mn credit (macroeconomic assistance)
