The average monthly net wage dropped by 4.2% y/y in real terms to MKD 21,469 (EUR 349) in December, after decreasing by 4.3% y/y in November, according to data of the statistics office. Both nominal wage growth and inflation slightly accelerated in December. In nominal terms, the net wage grew by 0.3% y/y in December, after edging up by 0.1% y/y in the previous month. The average net wage has declined by a real 2.9% to MKD 20,902 in 2012. The average monthly gross wage dropped by a real 4.1% y/y to MKD 31,466 in December. |
