Uzbekistan's major taxpayers pay UZS 17 trillion in 2M24

Uzbekistan's major taxpayers paid approximately Uzbekistani som (UZS) 17 trillion ($1.35bn) to the state in the first two months of this year, according to official data published by the economy and finance ministry.

The tax amount was collected from from 2,186 large taxpayers

The top 10 state sector taxpayers contributed UZS 8.7 trillion ($694mn) of the sum.

Navoi Mining Metallurgical Company alone paid over UZS 4.5 trillion ($359mn), making it the biggest taxpayer.

The other top 10 taxpayers in the state sector were Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, Hudugazta’Minot, Uzbekneftegaz, UzGasTrade, Navoiuranium, UzAuto Motors, UzTransGaz, Uztelecom and Buxoro Neftni Qayta Ishlash Zavodi.

Top 10 taxpaying companies in the private sector contributed 1.3 trillion ($103mn) to the taxman.

UZ BAT was the number one private taxpayer with UZS 436bn ($34mn).

The other private sector taxpayers that made the top 10 list were Enter Engineering, Tashkent Tobacco, KapitalBank, HamkorBank, Gid License Plate, Unitel, Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan, Universal Packing Masters and Techno Continental.
