Three people were killed and three wounded in an Israeli-US strike on the village of Dizaj Amir Madar in Osku district, East Azerbaijan province, on March 20, ILNA reported, citing the local governor.
Governor Mohammad Baqer Aghaei said the strike hit a workshop in the village, damaging nearby residential buildings. Emergency and relief teams were dispatched to the scene immediately.
It was the second strike on a civilian area in Osku district. The village of Asbas in the Khosrowshahr area had been targeted in an earlier attack.
The strike on a rural area far from known military targets follows a pattern of attacks increasingly hitting civilian areas across Iran.
The war has killed more than 1,400 people in Iran since the US-Israeli campaign began on February 28, according to the Iranian Red Crescent, with strikes reported across at least 16 provinces.
East Azerbaijan province, in Iran's northwest near the Turkish and Azerbaijani borders, is hundreds of kilometres from the main military and nuclear sites that were the stated focus of the US-Israeli campaign at its outset.
