Iran's navy commander has threatened to strike the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group with shore-to-sea missiles if it comes within range of the Makran coast, saying Iranian forces are tracking every movement of the vessel in real time.

Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Navy, told missile, drone and air defence unit personnel on March 29 that previous Iranian naval missile operations had already targeted the Abraham Lincoln and one of its accompanying warships, forcing the strike group to relocate hundreds of miles from Iranian territorial waters, Nour News reported.

"If this strike group comes within range of our missiles, we will take revenge along the entire Makran coast with all types of shore-to-sea missiles," Irani said.

He said Iran was continuously monitoring the Abraham Lincoln's positions and movements, including its requests to regional countries for logistical support.

Irani said the eastern side of the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, which he described as the gateway to the Persian Gulf, was under the complete control of Iran's navy.

"We are waiting for the moment of revenge," he said.

The commander also noted that US Central Command had remained silent on restrictions and potential damage to American naval units in the region, suggesting Washington was concealing the true extent of losses sustained by its fleet.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a formal warning on March 29 against any US ground operation or seizure of Persian Gulf islands, threatening that American troops would face "humiliating captivity, dismemberment and disappearance," Mehr News Agency reported.

"The warriors of Islam have long been awaiting such actions to prove that aggression and occupation will result in nothing but humiliating captivity, dismemberment and disappearance of the aggressors, and that American commanders and soldiers will become good prey for the sharks of the Persian Gulf," Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari said in a statement.

The spokesman dismissed Trump's credibility in blunt terms, describing him as "the most dishonest president among world nations" and accusing him of erratic decision-making.
