Sevmash provides first nuclear container to Kazakhstan.

Russian Sevmash provided first nuclear container UKKh123 to KATEP (Kazakh organization treating nuclear materials and radioactive wastes) for storing used nuclear fuel. The company will provide 20 such containers. KATEP and Sevmash signed contract in May 2008. The containers will be used to store duel from the BN-350 reactor from decommissioned nuclear plant in Aktau. The programme is financed by the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration.
