Serbia to withdraw 15% from EUR 366.5 fifth tranche of IMF loan.

By bne IntelliNews September 30, 2010
Serbia will draw EUR 53.5mn or 15% of the fifth EUR 366.5mn instalment available under the stand-by loan facility with the IMF, the central bank said in a statement released on its web-site, adding that the decision was due to the favourable balance of payment situation. The fund approved the disbursement of a new tranche earlier in the week, following conclusion of the talks between the Serbian authorities and the IMF mission under the fifth review of the country's economic performance under the stand-by arrangement at the beginning of September. Upon withdrawal of the fifth tranche, the total disbursements under the stand-by arrangement will reach EUR 1.46bn. As reported earlier, Serbia drew only 15% of the fourth IMF instalment as well.
