Vip Mobile Serbia signs five-year managed services deal with Ericsson.

Swedish company Ericsson said it has signed a five-year managed services contract with Vip Mobile - the Serbian arm of Telekom Austria Group. The agreement includes field maintenance services for access equipment and site infrastructure, involving the transfer of 20 Vip Mobile employees, Ericsson said in a statement. It added that by teaming up with Ericsson in managed services, operators can improve network availability and capacity, while reducing their operating costs. Ericsson has signed more than 300 managed services contracts in more than 100 countries. It manages networks on behalf of operators that service more than 950 million subscribers worldwide.
