Montenegro makes progress in WTO membership negotiations.

By bne IntelliNews August 8, 2011
Montenegro and Ukraine have achieved progress in their relations with respect to Montenegro's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), mnnews.net reported. At a meeting between the Montenegrin minister of economy Vladimir Kavaric and the Ukranian deputy minister of economy and trade Vadim Kopilov, Ukraine agreed to accept the positions that had been harmonized so far and to direct future activities at closing the negotiations as soon as possible. Negotiations with Ukraine started at end-2008 after the country blocked Montenegro's accession to WTO by refusing to sign a bilateral agreement. Montenegro started its WTO membership negotiations in December 2004.
