Kazakhstan to create new ministry for regional development.

Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the government to create a new ministry for regional development, the presidential service has informed. The move is in line with the authorities policy aimed at improving situation in the regions. The president summoned regional governors in December and stressed their responsibility for development of the regions. Regional development became especially important after bloody events in Zhana-Ozen in December 2011.
