Kazakhstan not to postpone, cancel elections because of Zhanaozen riots.

The disorders in western Kazakhstan will have no influence on plants to hold parliamentary elections. Kazakh Presidential Advisor for Political Affairs Yermukhamet Yertysbayev ensured that there is no intention to cancel the elections, as the Zhanaozen conflict is local. In his opinion, Kazakhstan as a whole is stable and totally supports the current president. Earlier the opposition said it was unacceptable to hold the parliamentary elections slated for January 15.
