Kazakhstan is interested in deeper economic cooperation with Turkey. Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul to draw up a new mutual economic programme called New Synergy. At the same time, Nazarbayev informed that during the visit of Gul to Kazakhstan, Turkish and Kazakh companies signed agreements on Turkish investments worth USD 400mn. Turkish president is on 4-day visit in Kazakhstan.
