Kazakhstan expects positive results of talks with Azerbaijani SOCAR on BTC.

Kazakhstan expects positive results from talks with Azerbaijani SOCAR on supplies via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, representative of KazMunayGas Maksat Idenov has stated. According to him, suspension of Kazakh oil deliveries to the BTC pipeline is temporary. He added, that commercial issues need to be resolved to resume the supplies. To remind you, Tengizchevroil suspended shipment to the BTC pipeline since Jan 1, 2010 due to high tariffs. In 2009, the company sent 1.9mn tonnes of oil via the pipeline. Kazakh oil is delivered to Baku by tankers, via the Caspian Sea.
